1. Careful storage
When not in use, store your piece in its protective fabric bag, away from light and humidity. As raffia fiber is living, it is best to fill the interior with tissue paper or light fabric to maintain its shape and protect its midnight blue/orange lining.
2. Protection against water and humidity
Raffia is a natural material that is sensitive to the elements. To preserve its texture and colors:
Avoid contact with water, sunscreens and liquids that could damage the fiber.
In case of accidental moisture, let it air dry and slip newspaper inside to absorb excess water.
For models with midnight blue/orange fabric lining, be careful not to leave any cosmetics or open pens inside to avoid any unwanted stains.
3. Limit prolonged exposure to the sun
To preserve the intensity of the colors, limit prolonged exposure to the sun, which could dull the color of the raffia.
4. Avoid light-colored clothing
Avoid contact with light-colored clothing, as dyes may rub off if rubbed repeatedly. We recommend taking this into account when choosing your outfits.
5. Maintenance of raffia, leather and metal parts
Dusting: Use a soft brush or dry cloth to remove dust and maintain the shine of the weave.
Gentle cleaning: For small stains, dab gently with a slightly damp cloth and mild soap, without rubbing.
Reshaping: If the raffia creases, apply steam from a distance to soften the fiber and restore its natural shape.
Protect leather finishes and metalwork and avoid contact with water to prevent stains and premature wear of the leather.
Nourish it with a specific moisturizing milk to maintain its suppleness and shine.
Handle the protective studs with care, they protect the base of the bag from rough surfaces but can be scratched if placed on abrasive floors.
