The Origin of MAD house

MAD house was born from a conviction: luxury can be bold, committed, and meaningful . By reinventing raffia, we celebrate ancestral know-how while offering women exceptional pieces, designed to support their freedom and individuality.

Jessica, rooted in Madagascar, oversees the workshops and artisans, passionately perpetuating the art of crochet. Diane, with her Anglo-Saxon background and expertise in finance and law, structures and opens MAD House to the world. Laetitia, a communications expert, shapes the brand's image and impact to resonate with today's women.

We are three women united by the desire to create differently , with a powerful and international vision. Two of us have Malagasy roots, one lives in Madagascar, the other in Canada, and the third in France. Three perspectives, three sensibilities, one commitment: to celebrate the legacy of the women of yesterday and inspire those of tomorrow .

MAD House, the art of raffia at the service of women.

Jessica TALOUMIS

Co-founder - Creative and Production Director

“Arriving in Madagascar 20 years ago, I was guided by my origins and a passion for Malagasy artisanal culture . Eager to merge my passion for fashion with an ethical project , I created MAD house to promote local traditions, establish solid partnerships with artisans and thus contribute to the local economy of Madagascar.”

Laetitia JOLY

Co-founder - Marketing, Communication and Distribution Director

“Ten years immersed in the demanding world of luxury between Paris and Hong Kong honed my attention to detail and love for refinement . Then, Madagascar entered my life.

I was moved by women who juggle work, children, and home, often in very difficult circumstances. Their strength, resilience, and exceptional talent for crochet and embroidery inspired me.

With MAD house, I wanted to create a brand that celebrates women in all their facets, confident, fulfilled, sometimes a bit crazy under the weight of responsibilities."

Diane O'BRIEN

Co-founder - Financial and Legal Director

“My parents’ birthplace, I arrived in Madagascar with the aim of getting back to basics . Through encounters and seeing the richness of local craftsmanship , our project became obvious . After training in law and business, I moved to Canada where I worked as an analyst in a renowned American bank. My background helps me to consider the financial and economic perspective of our brand but also to bring an international culture to MAD house.”
